Edison platform enables developers, data scientists, and technical end-users to rapidly develop, publish, and monetize Precision Health solutions. Edison Developer is a central resource for developing healthcare applications on Edison platform with a goal to increase developer productivity by removing silos and redundancies across healthcare businesses, as well as enable collaboration with external partners and customers.
I was responsible for driving overall UX design strategy and product feature definition for Edison Developer, and managing deliverables, resources, and schedules for multiple global, cross-functional projects on the Edison Platform.
Conducted extensive market research of 15 existing developer ecosystems to gain better understanding of current developer experiences and best practices on existing developer platforms. Analyzed information architecture and developer onboarding workflows, then shared findings with product and engineering teams through a number of brainstorming sessions.
Conducted additional contextual inquiry sessions with individual developers to dive deeper into their goals, pain points, and daily activities. Based on all the research, created journey maps and developer persona, and then started sketching out overall framework, information architecture, and early design concepts for the site.
Created usability research plans for the product and worked with a researcher on conducting multiple usability studies.
Worked closely with product management and engineering teams through multiple agile sprints to define feature requirements and create detailed design specifications for monthly product releases.
Currently, there are 800+ users registered and 20 external partners onboarded. The platform includes over 300 services in the Catalog from 20+ development teams in GE Healthcare.
